Well, it seemed like a no-brainer to us…
2 of the band members are from PA and the other 2 are from DE… EVERYONE travelling between the two states uses the 495 Bypass in an effort to save time (and do about 80 MPH on this stretch of road)…
Also – They like to drink.

We know that they kill people. BUT. There is just something about them when they lift their heads out of the water and shake their ears…
I don’t know. We blame this obsession on National Geographic.
In any event, if you are going to name your brand The Standard Hippo Company – you damn well better have a shirt with a hippo on it. Here is one of the initial sketches for the new logo… (yes – it’s kind of cute)
We thought about putting eyes on it, but it gave it too much of a personality…
And it looked too damn happy.
