Sedgley Plaza is the complete transformation of a vacant property into a bright and progressive retail development. Guided by the developer’s vision of reducing urban blight, the development serves as a new center of local commerce, and encourages community redevelopment.
The retail center is located in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia on a one and one-quarter acre site, at the corner of Ridge and Sedgley Avenues. It consists of 21,000 square feet of new retail development anchored by a Dollar General. Site improvements also include new lighting, parking, landscaping, and an underground retention basin for stormwater management.
(That was the write-up that Blake and I generated for our firm’s marketing materials…)
So.
I am a little concerned about the Pylon sign… The contractor has brought it to my attention that there is a bus stop on that exact corner.
We ‘mirrored’ the orientation to work better with the rest of the building… BUT that leaves the EIFS on the street side.
God – I hope no one tags that jawn up.
